What’s Wrong With Me?

I am feeling extremely antsy right now. I feel like I must do something with myself. I just emptied and rearranged the linen closet and gave Caesar a bath. I need excitement in my life, I need a change. Either I need to buy something (most likely more tulips), do something with my hair, or get a tattoo or piercing. I have yet to get a tat or piercing and I’m starting to think that I never will. I’m anxious about moving, but have yet to find another place yet. I just look foward to new things. I yearn for the moment when I can say “I’m a mom” (I’m fessing up). That will be in 4-5 years. Until then, I’m going to acquire another pet…

My point is not that I “need” a baby, if we were where we wanted to be in life, then that would be fine. So my point is that I want us to be where we want in life because the suspense of life is killing me.

NO EXCUSE!

Ok there is no excuse for this. This chunky mothermonster was found near the kitchen laying there like a pile of poo. Now this isn’t the first time we’ve had a slug problem, but this is the first time we’ve had a GINORMOUS one make its way in. Terminix CANNOT help this, if they did spray the 1st time, they probably did it half-assed. It seems like these things come in when it rains and appear at night. They leave a trail so the current one left leads me to think that they are getting in somehow behind the stove . There are no trails around the patio, so I don’t know how they are getting in. I also found a small one under the kitchen sink a few weeks back. The kitchen is cleaned on a regular, I scrub that damn floor the best I can, the garbage has been out, there’s no food in the can, and the carpet is freshly vacuumed, so they can’t give me that maybe it’s the garbage sh*t. Insult my housekeeping pssh. I’m not like the rest of these slobs putting their trashbags outside only for beer and pizza boxes to be blown in our front doorway and the rest of the community.

ON A HAPPIER NOTE. We have ice cubes! We were never able to fit ice trays in the top freezer because there was never any room. Now we have plenty of space in the upright for ice cubes and icecream treats! We shall go icecream shopping after work. With the help of the lovely blender, we can have smoothies too! I know I’m acting like I never had anything before, lol, well I never had ice cubes or room for icecream since leaving mother’s nest!

Got Me A Frigidaire…Frigidaire! Frigidaire!

After taking a look on craigslist (Thanks Jenn!), I found a really, really, really good deal on a upright freezer (model number FFU1423DW2) for only $150. The guy lived in the same city and even delivered it. The transaction was quick and easy. The freezer is almost spanking new, hell I’m going to call it spanking new. His father bought it 2 years ago. His father passed so he was just trying to get rid of it. It didn’t get much use, now it will ! This is what our regular freezer looked like. Here it is after getting the upright. There’s nothing in the door but a small box of ice cream.

While searching on craigslist I stumbled upon a pretty custom painted crib and dresser (they were up to date) for only $125, my pack rat tendencies wanted to grab it for the future, but that would be a ridiculous buy. We have bills to pay and kids aren’t even going to be in the picture until 5 years or so.

My day is pretty much complete now. I went to the GYN to get my annual exam and once again didn’t like it. It felt like she was snipping off pieces of my insides. My very 1st pap didn’t hurt but my last two have. How many more years of this crap do I have left? I swear I’m going to make Greg get testicular exams so he can be violated as well. A little violation once a year can be very beneficial to the health, so I suck it up - and he can too.

I’m off to cook something and get started with potting my plants. After that we shall give the poochie a bath. Audios!

Free Deep Freezer? No Luck.

So I settled with the fact that I won’t find a deep freezer for free anytime soon. The one on freecycle can’t be found in the yahoo group, so I couldn’t contact them. I found one on ebay for $20, it was so used, abused, and dirty. I’m going to check the classifieds and shop around. I really don’t want to buy one, I’m trying to save money here. The 5.5 cu ft ones are in our price range, but I’m pusing for at least 8.8 cu ft. A 5.5 shouldn’t be a problem, it’s only two of us, but it is smart to prepare for the future. I’d rent one to own, but I’ll end up paying twice as much for it doing it that way. Eh, I’ll see what happens. I’m going to be working harder online for this freezer. It’s a must have.

These foods have caused kidney failure and some deaths in animals that consumed these products. I purchased 4 cans of Nutro Max for Caesar back in January as a treat, I never fed them to him. Good thing I didn’t. Good thing Simba doesn’t eat canned food anymore. I won’t be purchasing canned pet food of any kind now. These recalls are getting ridiculous, you aren’t safe eating anything anymore.
