Free Deep Freezer? No Luck.

So I settled with the fact that I won’t find a deep freezer for free anytime soon. The one on freecycle can’t be found in the yahoo group, so I couldn’t contact them. I found one on ebay for $20, it was so used, abused, and dirty. I’m going to check the classifieds and shop around. I really don’t want to buy one, I’m trying to save money here. The 5.5 cu ft ones are in our price range, but I’m pusing for at least 8.8 cu ft. A 5.5 shouldn’t be a problem, it’s only two of us, but it is smart to prepare for the future. I’d rent one to own, but I’ll end up paying twice as much for it doing it that way. Eh, I’ll see what happens. I’m going to be working harder online for this freezer. It’s a must have.

I’m a longtime lurker. First check your local paper then search your local savation army or anywhere they sell used furniture
/appliances.Good luck with your search,I know how is trying to buy stuff, but still staying in your budget.

Have you tried Craigs List (craigslist.org)? I’m sorry to hear things didn’t work out on FreeCycle. I’ve always had decent luck with FC. *shrug*

I also second TImika - check local ads and then used stores.

I bet trying to find a deep freezer for free probably would be hard to find., When I think of people giving away things, freezers usually aren’t on the top of the list. lol. Good luck though! =)
