Common Courtesy
Why were we awakened at 10 in the morning by knocks on our BEDROOM door??? Who was it? Terminix. WTF!? We give permission for maintenance and Terminix to come in if we are NOT here. We can’t hear the doorbell or knocks on the door if we are upstairs, I’ve let management know that. So whether we’re here or not they just come right on in. But this is where the line must be drawn! It would be nice if they CALL FIRST, number one. Dude that was knocking on our BEDROOM door wanted to let us know that the Terminix formula doesn’t work for slugs, D-U-H, and for us to buy some kind of powder to put down for them - we come out of pocket for that. Couldn’t he just have called or left a damn note? I can’t deal with this. What if I’m in here alone? I’m not one to worry about being attacked, but they should have the decency to take that into consideration when they are entering our homes.
I can’t wait to view those houses on Wednesday. We’ve added 3 more choices to the 2 that we were originally gonna view. The other 3 are 3 bedrooms with washer & dryer hookups. For $75 more in rent we have more to choose from now, an extra bedroom, possibly more space, and washer and dryer hookups.

Wow thats crazy that they would do that. A simple phone call would have done the trick. Goodluck on viewing the houses.
I have had the same problem with renting. What I did was buy a lock, this one( http://www.addalock.com/addalock.html ) to add onto my door. You don’t have to install anything and it’s very secure. That way if they knock and I am home, they can’t get in without me answering it. Period. I was sick of worrying about them coming in when I was in the shower and what not.
