I Need Opinions!

I need opinions on the ring below. Does it look more casual or do you think it could be an engagement ring? BE HONEST. I like honesty, I hate when people sugarcoat! I have a small size 5.5 finger, like rings with character and I don’t like the typical solitaire style. I don’t wear any other rings on my hands and as for earrings I wear white gold and silver. People have told me including a jeweler that it’s all about what you prefer, yes there are rings classified as engagement rings but other rings can be given as engagement rings as well. So, what do you think?

I have a small finger too (i actually wear a 4!) and I LOVE rings like this.. my prefrence is actually the ones with the circles around the main stone. this one is really neat too I love the two small circles on the sides of the square. Look very art deco. (and this would have defently been a proper engangement ring during that period) I hate just a plain ole lone solitare thats so boring.

Honestly, if I saw that ring on your finger or anywhere else, engagement ring wouldn’t be the first thing to come to my mind. I like the ring because it’s stylish and it has a lot of antique charm. It doesn’t immediately, if at all, strike me as an engagement ring that anyone would wear today. Now if you did wear that on your ring finger I would perhaps assume that you were engaged and received an antique ring. LOL. I never help. I’m jealous of your ring size. I have fat fingers. I’d have to say yes. If I saw this on your ring finger I’d definitely think you’re engaged. On other fingers, not so much.

Looks like an engagement ring to me, but then again, I really prefer the simple solitaire style. No side diamonds for me.

If you were wearing this on your ring finger I would most definitely assume you were engaged. But just looking at it my mind doesn’t jump to the engagement ring area…but seriously, all engagement rings don’t have to fit into the typical characteristics that most people imagine. As long as you like it, go for it!!! It IS a very pretty ring, afterall!

Actually, there is no way I would consider that an engagement ring. It looks more like heirloom jewelry. Which is “in” right now.

It doesn’t look like a traditional engagement ring. Could it be one? I’m a single guy who has never really shopped around so I cant profess an expertise… but I would say why not?

I wouldn’t know at first glance that it was an engagement ring. If it was on any other finger I wouldn’t think anything of it but if it was on your ring finger I would probably ask you if you were engaged. It does look nice but I see it as casual/fashion item. Did you get a chance to try it on? That could also be a deciding factor because I know pics usually don’t do rings any justice.

I sure have a small finger too. Well i have to go measure it since i hate wearing anything on my fingers but if im about to be enganged to the love of my life then i sure will wear it with pride… Well i’m going to say i’m not feeling the ring… its TOO much… but like you said its all about what you prefer. Congrats…

My very honest opinion is that the ring is gorgeous, but seems more of a “dressy” ring, and I definitely would not think it was an engagement ring, or consider it one!
