I went into the bathroom while Greg was in the shower. I mentioned that my belly makes it hard for me to see my girly bits…
Greg: I have manly chunks.
Me: Ew, that sounds so nasty.
Greg: What? I’m not going to downsize my package to bits.

Juggling a Bajillion Things
2 chix has been reviewed, I’m a week late but I’m juggling a bajillion things! Go see what Greg and I have to say about 2 chix!
We decided on having a King of the Jungle baby shower theme! I have this obsession with tropical decor. Jayden’s nursery will have a jungle theme so he may as well have a jungle baby shower too! I have to get on writing the invitations so that everyone will have time to decide if they are coming and give them time to shop. My mother is getting frantic about sending the invitations out. She’s all What about this? What about that? What are we going to do? She was panicking about getting the decorations up. I told her I’m going to be there, Greg’s going to be there, his mother has to have some kind of decorating sense too. It’s not that hard, she wants me to sit there and look cute, lol. We’re going to have problems if I can’t even set the tables! I want to help!
I need to add lots more to our Babies R Us wishlist, I just don’t know what to add! I’m scared we’re going to end up with too much that we may not use. Like clothes, things that he’ll grow out of fast. I’ll probably make a Target wishlist too. Whatever we don’t use I will certainly give to someone who needs and appreciates it. Gotta share the love.
I’m throwing up all that I can on eBay because I have to have Mac OS X Leopard *. I’m trying to pimp out my imac. I already ordered some ram but I funked up and got the wrong megabytes. My iMac can hold 1GB of ram. There’s only 2 ram slots so I’d have to get 2 512MB ram cards. I got 4 256MB’s so I’ll be selling 2 of them. 512MB ram cards don’t come cheap so I’ll deal with using 2 256MB’s for a total of 512MB ram for now. It beats my stinkin’ 256MB that I have now, the loading cursor pinwheel (the hourglass equivalent on a PC) irks my nerves!
I’m working on a new theme for Mommy Daddy Blog, so I must go now!
* I don’t want Mac OS X Leopard, it’s just that I need to upgrade from Panther 10.3.9 and I figure if I was going to upgrade, I may as well get the latest. It sucks being a smidge away from Tiger 10.4 and I don’t want to have to pay too much just to upgrade just a teeny tiny bit.

Homemade Liquid Carpet Cleaner
There were times I had to steam clean the carpet when carpet cleaner wasn’t handy. Carpet cleaner isn’t a cheap product to use when you have to use it so frequently. There were times I used a combo of hot water and Pine Sol. There were times when I used laundry detergent, baking soda, and water. I almost had it right. Soap attracts dirt, so it is a “no no” to use on carpet. It’s also hard to rinse out.
I recommend using a mixture of 30% white vinegar and 70% hot water or baking soda and hot water (playing with the baking soda to water ratio). It’s the simple things that get the job done. Isn’t this right on time since the “Go Green” revolution is in effect?

A Sigh Of Relief
I feel a tad overwhelmed at the moment, but at the same time accomplished. I had been wanting to clean up around the house because it needed to be done, bad. When the house is out of order I feel like a bum. We have two bedrooms that we need to tackle/organize. Both rooms are kinda storage for anything that we don’t want to have in sight. Those rooms aren’t really a problem since we don’t have to “look” at them, lol. The problem rooms were the living room, kitchen, and our bedroom. Caesar and Simba turned the living room into their own play place, the Christmas tree was still up and Simba was having a ball messing up the skirt and trying to get to the ornaments. The tree and other Christmas decor has been stored and the living room got a good vacuuming and steam cleaning. Carpet cleaner is expensive! So after being turned off at $11/bottle, I decided to make my own and I will be writing a tutorial soon. It works! Now to the kitchen. The dishes were piling up, the counter space needed organizing, and the floor needed to be mopped. Done. I just have to scrub the oven with an S.O.S pad, no chemicals involved! Our bedroom was a mess and it was my fault. I had a mess of clothes and pjs on the floor because our closet space is limited. I organized what I could, threw stuff in bins, packed up any clothes that I will never be wearing again and hung up clothes that I can wear now that they fit. I tend to buy things too large and keep them for later. Well now is later. Glad I had a stash.
I forgot to mention that Caesar got a bath, I always try to bathe him when I do a deep cleaning around the house. I tried to trim his hair too since it will be a while since he’ll be groomed. He has to get used to people all over again since he hasn’t been out much since it’s gotten cold. We tried to get him groomed twice over Christmas vacation by my mother’s and he bit at the groomers. We’ll see if he bites at the groomers down here. They are always good with him so I don’t think he will.
Greg’s been writing away on Mommy Daddy Blog. I feel like such a deadbeat since I just come in with my pregnancy updates. I’m working on it! I have tons of reviews to write there. I’m just working on a million other things. Now that the house is clean and FRESH (Airwicks everywhere), I feel much better. I will be updating the theme on Mommy Daddy Blog hopefully tonight, because I’m tired of looking at it. I overdid it with the turquoise *gag*.
