An Update On Life

You guys may have noticed that I’ve been keeping life on the “low” lately with the exception of pregnancy updates on Mommy Daddy Blog.

Well, we’re taking things one day at a time and I’ve been busy catching up with business related things. We’re looking for another place to live and we’re just waiting for things to fall into place one by one. You know when you are in the middle of “sealing deals”, you don’t want to go blabbing about them until they fall through.

The baby shower is approaching! It’s March 15th. We’ll be heading up to Chicago for that on the 12th. My mother has invited a bunch of her friends from back in the day. I’ve invited a bunch of friends from back in my day, lol, and there will be lots of family from both sides attending. Eveything’s all sorted out and I know that the baby shower will be lots of fun. I swear it’s going to be like Thanksgiving, all of the food that my mother is preparing and having prepared, then Greg’s mother still wants to do a bajillion more things. This will not be your ordinary baby shower!

I do have a bone to pick with certain people who we invited through the facebook events application, the people who just say they are coming for the hell of it, the ones who rsvp’d on facebook but are quiet through all the messages that we send the entire group. Then there are the ones that let us send them a paper invitation (Those do COST you know!) in addition to rsvping on facebook, now when asked if they are coming they’re like “ummm when is it?”. ALL OF THAT INFORMATION IS ON THE DARN BABY SHOWER EVENT, YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN YOUR INVITATION, HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHEN THE BABY SHOWER IS!???!!!?? If they come, they will be sitting on the floor and that’s that! Gosh I forgot the age group we’re dealing with…thank goodness WE have some common sense.

Please send me an invite through email. No paper invite needed. I want to send something for the baby after you’ve tallied and come up with a list of what you really really need.

I can’t stand getting people a gift that they have 50 of already.

And about the ‘youngin’s’ LOL

Try being 16 and having a baby shower thrown for you and your friends parents tell them they AIN’T going to no party to celebrate a baby born to two kids. *sigh*

p.s. I’m soooooo excited for you and Greg. this is going to be so much fun. Who’s in charge of photos and videos?

Awww. I hope that you guys have tons of fun at your baby shower! I wish I had mine early but my son was premature so I didn’t have mine until after he was born. Good luck with everything

How rude of people to mess with the invites like that. Don’t they realize that when you count who’s coming, that adds to the cost of the food etc…

oh my gosh… Thank goodness I don’t have facebook. I have no time for drama… my lil bro post his son’s one year old bday party on facebook and i didn’t know… i called to ask and he was throwing a party he was like yeah… and later to call pops to tell them about it… smh…
i’m ranting sorry….

Girl, let them sit on the floor. if they had some sense they wouldn’t have to… ohhh i’m mad i can’t come… with all that food lol… hope it turn out to be what u were expecting it to be…

Honey don’t get me started on those facebook events. I have to make it well known that this is serious and I need a head count. Some people would say yes, I’m definately attending but then they don’t show up or the ones who said they weren’t coming will come anyway. It’s ridiculous. I love baby showers, do you have both men and women there or is it traditional, just wondering
