Announcement: Pregnancy Reminder
This is a sticky post. All new posts will be underneath this post!
See my little Lilypie ticker up there? As of today I’m 37 weeks, 6 days pregnant. Right now I’m trying to get all last minute work finished at home and online. I’m semi grumpy because I’m trying not to fall behind, but nothing is more important than the baby right now. Early this morning 4ish am - 7ish am, I started having contractions and extreme lower back pains. I’m fine now but my back can start up again. So now it’s basically crunch time. My mother will be here today. She was supposed to come this Friday but changed her train ticket to make sure she doesn’t miss out. As of yesterday, I’m 2CM dilated, my cervix is really thin, and Jayden is extremely low. My midwife said that this weekend would be a good time to have him. We’ll see what happens!
I just wanted to post this for those who are concerned. If I’m not on the computer, I’ll be laying down with my Sidekick. I’ll probably be twittering and checking my email.

Eco Friendly Treatments For Your Pool or Spa
The weather’s warming up and I’m sure that some of you pool and spa owners are preparing to crank them up if you haven’t already. Let me ask you a question, what do you use to treat the water in your pool or spa? Could you be using chlorine generators or salt chlorinators?
Both chlorine generators and salt chlorinators have their disadvantages when used in a pool or spa. For starters, they both deal with the use of Chlorine. The use of chlorine in any pool or spa can be dangerous toxic and hazardous to handle, ingest or breathe, and dangerous to store as it is flammable.
Chlorine generators, commonly used in salt water pools require a high level of maintenance. Any mineral deposits that build up over time must be clean or else the generator won’t work properly. Even the smallest amount of mineral deposits stuck in the device will put it at risk of not working. Salt chlorinators deal with using harsh chemicals to get rid of bacteria, algae, and viruses in pools. For this reason swimmers immediately have to shower to remove any extra chemicals from the water from their skin. Chlorine and salt can dry skin, cause red eyes, dry hair, and slight color changes. Chlorine and salt can also cause an allergic reaction to some and can aggravate symptoms of asthma.
How would you like to treat your pool or spa with a 100% chemical free pool and spa treatment? Ecosmarte Pools specializes in creating natural pools and spas by using natural oxygen to rid pools and spas of toxic chemicals, health hazards, offensive chemical odors, damage to our environment, and damage to pool and spa equipment. An Ecosmarte system even costs less to operate than other treatment systems. If you’re looking for a safer and efficient way to treat your pool or spa, visit ecosmartepool.com to begin soaking in what will seem like pure bottled water. All purchases support environmental causes as Ecosmarte Pools donates 5% of profits to environmental charities.

90 Calories Of Special K Bliss
Here’s a tasty, light snack that you can enjoy at home or on the go. At 90 calories per bar, you can enjoy the bold flavors of indulgence without going against your diet! I just finished off the samples of Special K Bliss Bars that were sent to me and I am very pleased with how they taste. I was able to sample both Orange and Raspberry flavors, with Raspberry being my favorite. I found Special K Bliss Bars to be very convenient for me being pregnant. In the morning, I usually eat something small to start out, but before I eat I marinate in the bed for a while. So I kept my Special K Bliss Bars on the nightstand where I could easily grab 1 or 2 to start off my day. They are also great as snacks during the night, no having to roll out of bed to raid the kitchen!
Thanks Special K for providing me with a tasty treat and humongous canvas tote bag that I’m seriously considering using as a diaper bag!

Recapping A Week
Edit: Click here to view our Target baby registry!
On Monday I went to class with Greg and snapped some shots of a tree on campus.
Shortly after class we headed out to the boonies to pick up a lovely dresser that we found on Craiglist. Thanks to the wife, we only paid $30!
We saw some friendly cows on the way. They came up to the fence and posed for pictures. They all waited their turn, lol.
On Tuesday we had a visit at the doctor’s office. The midwife checked my cervix and told me that I was 1CM dilated! We go back this Tuesday, I can’t wait to see if I’ve progressed.
On Wednesday I know I made spaghetti, lol, and that’s all I remember. The Prego was all in fun, we are Ragu fans.
On Thursday we splurged on burgers at Backyard Burgers. OMG the Bacon Chedder Burger is sooo good. Uh oh, I just realized I posted pictures of cows and now I’m talking about burgers
. After chomping down we spent our gift cards at Target. We still have some stuff to get. It was a really fun day for us! Sorry, no pictures, lol.
On Friday we had an earthquake scare. Around 4:40 am I woke up to our house shaking and the windows rattling. I tried waking Greg up but by the time he woke up the shaking stopped. I got on my sidekick to do some research on earthquakes in our area but couldn’t find anything current. By 6:00 am it was all over the news and internet. I felt a little better after confirming the cause. We went back to sleep and at 10:15 am, we both were awakened to the house shaking again, after that I just said to hell with sleeping, lol.
On Saturday we took a trip to Hobby Lobby. I wanted some inspiration. I came out with a garden flower that spins in the wind and some ideas for Jayden’s first photo shoot
. Later, we cast my belly! It was so messy, good thing we did it in the tub and not in the kitchen like the kit recommends. I was nakie during the process but put on some pants for the pictures. I had crunchies all over my legs and unmentionable zone
. Of course a shower was in order.
Today was a peaceful day. We opened the windows and looked at rental listings. We bookmarked quite a few. I folded the rest of Jayden’s laundry in between. Sometime after that, I lost my mucous plug (read paragraph 2 before commenting about the plug please)! I also upgraded my blogs to the latest version of Wordpress. The admin looks horrendous, but it’s better to be secure than having a blog with an easy to navigate admin and be vulnerable to hackers. I’m pretty sure the Wordpress team is working on fixing the ugliness as many users have already complained.
Quite a few people have asked me about sending a baby gift our way so I’m going to edit our Target baby registry a bit and make it available. When I first found out that I was pregnant, I was hesitant to put up registries because I didn’t think anyone would purchase anything. For a day or two I put up a paypal donation link and then I took it down because I didn’t want to seem as if I was begging or being plain greedy for that matter. I come across bloggers who have sick children and can’t afford to pay their health expenses. Those are the ones who I feel deserve paypal donations. Of course there’s nothing wrong with asking for a donation if you have provided your readers with something resourceful (ex: plugins or other downloads), but I have nothing to offer right now, lol. That being said, I’ll stick to wishlists and registries. I really do appreciate the offers and will get our Target registry up shortly!
I think I’m going to stick with these weekly recaps if I’m MIA for a while. They work. Until next time!

If you would like to give a gift to baby Jayden, we are registered at Target. All gifts are greatly appreciated!
