Living Life and Enjoying Parenthood

I sit here typing at my computer with Jayden in a sling. If I lay him down or put him in his bouncer, he’ll get fussy and I won’t be able to get anything done. He’s still a good baby, he just wants his mommy -) . I want to be in the bed by 1am so that I can be up by the afternoon at least. I don’t like sleeping the day away, so I’m sticking to my bedtimes. I love seeing the sun shine through the windows, it give me energy, and makes my pictures pretty.

Greg and I have been…living life and enjoying parenthood. We’re trying to get a lot of done online and offline. We have some online projects in the works and we’re excited about them. I’m hoping I can do something with this blog because I feel so bad for neglecting it. Right now, I see this blog as my little miscellaneous piece of the web, where I can connect with moms and non-moms alike. I think I’ll start doing memes again. I have a vision for a new blog theme, but I can’t get anything graphically that I’m satisfied with. I’m determined to though. The preggy mama has got to go!

Greg and I are trying to move back to Chicago sooner than August. Our lease is up then, but we can just pay up and leave. I’d feel more relieved moving earlier. It would be a load off of our shoulders, then we could enjoy the rest of our summer in the Windy City! Even if we move in with his mother for a few months, I don’t care (not that there’s a problem). It would actually make looking for a place much easier. Right now we count on finding listings online with pictures because there’s no way we’re going to drive 5 hours to see a place that we don’t like. We could save some money not having to pay utilities too.

Well I’m off to finish writing some posts for Mommy Daddy Blog. Greg should be here soon, so I’ll be able to get a shower. Hey, don’t judge, I have a newborn!

    I know how it feels to be a busy parent. It gets kind of hard for me sometimes having to work and take care of my son at the same time but he’s getting older now and it’s becoming a lot easier for me.

    Good luck with you guys and moving. I’ve really been thinking about moving myself but it’s not that easy for me right now.

    It’s great that you are going to live in Chicago. If I could live anywhere, I would live in Chicago. I love visiting there and you are lucky to be moving there.

    HEY Sheena! I’ve been kinda of busy and been forgetting to visit your site often. One day I was at work and I thought of you and I’m like I wonder if Sheena had her baby so I checked and I see you DID! I’m so happy for you and Greg. Jayden looks so much like you, eyes and lips. Ahh your a mommy now. I will keep checking up on you while watching Jayden grow up cause I know you will have many pictures.

    I was looking through you flickr photos and I have to say… Jayden makes the funniest baby faces! He is too cute.

    Parenthood can be both rewarding and hard, but you guys rock for informing others about it. Now I know who to turn to when me and Everett make plans to have a little one.
