Cleaning The Tub Is Such An Unpleasant Task

Did you know that according to the Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber Survey, many women would rather participate in unpleasant activities like paying bills, writing thank you notes, or sitting in traffic than spend time and energy cleaning their bathtubs? Those women reported that they can’t stand chapped hands and chipped nails, how often the tub needs to be cleaned, and the muscle soreness that they deal with after cleaning.

I don’t think our tub has ever been perfectly clean. I usually clean our tub with Ajax and a scrubbing brush, but there are always spots that just refuse to budge. If they do, it’s because I sat there scrubbing on them an extra ten minutes.

action scrubberAfter getting home from a long 5 hour ride from Chicago Wednesday night, all I wanted to do is take a shower. The tub was dirtier than usual. Greg was at work and Jayden didn’t want to sit in his bouncer. Usually I bring his bouncer in the bathroom, so that I can keep an eye on him. Anyway, I knew that there was no way I’d be able to clean the tub and tend to Jayden too. Then I remembered I had a Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber l had been sent to try out. I’m so glad that I had it on hand because I literally cleaned our tub in 5 minutes. There was no sprinkling powders and gels and absolutely no elbow grease involved. You simply attach the disposable soap pad to the easy grip handle, wet the pad, and scrub. I thought about taking a before and after photo of our tub but um…the before was too embarrassing -/ .

Now I have to add my 2 cents of honest griping. While scrubbing, the disposable pad detached from the handle. I wasn’t even scrubbing that hard. The product still worked and made cleaning our tub sooo much easier but it would be better if it held it together a wee bit longer (days atleast). There is a $2.75 off coupon available, hopefully that will make up for the pad detaching, lol.

Oh and as for my shower, I managed to get in when Greg came home from work because Jayden was not having it any other way!

Sounds like a great product. I’d definitely have to look into that because lord knows when I’m tired from a weeks work and get down to scrubbing my tub, I don’t enjoy the hassle.

Have you tried the scrubbing bubbles product that cleans the shower? It’s a miracle worker, especially in the corners.

My secret shame is that my hatred for scrubbing any and all bathroom things actually led me to hire someone to come in once a week.

    That’s right… A maid.

It seems so excessive. So wasteful.

Then I think about scrubbing the tub or toilet.

It’s a secret shame I can live with.

    Syd!
