Cascade Complete & Electrasol Advanced Challenge

I was asked to try two popular dishwasher soaps, Cascade Complete and Electrasol Advanced. It didn’t dawn (lol) on me until I received the soaps that they were for a dishwasher which we don’t have at the moment. Go ahead and laugh. Since we don’t have a dishwasher, I asked a few friends to participate in the challenge. We will have a dishwasher again on August 1st! So for now, enjoy these reviews written by friends. (I’ll be updating this post as the reviews come in.)

1stopmom says: When it comes to cleaning products I have a very sensitive nose. I do not like products that have a strong lingering smell. Usually when we run the dishwasher there is a strong bleach smell in the air by the time the load has finished. Electrasol Advanced not only cleaned our dishes with dried on food the first time, there was no lingering smell afterward. I was surprised because after opening the package, there was a strong bleach like smell. Although the Cascade Complete was easier on the nose it did not clean as well as the Electrasol Advanced. A few of the dishes still had food residue on them. I would use the Electrasol Advanced again because we are not always able to get our dishes into the dishwasher immediately after eating. The Cascade Complete did work fine when we rinsed the dishes first but that is an extra step I do not need. It defeats the purpose of using the dishwasher.

This is a very timely review. I have found that Cascade does not work as well and I thought it was just my dishwasher. I think the bleach smell is strong with Cascade, but not so bad with Electrasol. LOL. Thank you for sharing.

I have recently tried the Electrosol and have been very pleased. I like that it is a little less expensive then the Cascade. I like the scent as well!

This is great information. I have using Cascade and rinsing my dishes thinking my dishwasher is no good. I am going to try Electrosol -and it is cheaper? Yippee!

LMAO! That is hilarious but from personal experience Cascade has worked the best for me. I love your little housewive entires for cleaning products and etc..
