Keep Them Believing With Letters From Santa
When I was a kid, I didn’t believe in Santa Claus for very long. I was one of those kids that were too grown before their time. I told my mother that I wouldn’t want my child to believe in Santa Claus when I’m the one who really bought them the presents, lol. Since the secret was out, my mother just let me shop for my Christmas presents with her. She even let me wrap them and put them under the tree. I was content with that. I still believe that us parents deserve some credit, but we’ll see how long we can get Jayden to believe in Santa Claus.
For those who want to keep the kiddos believing in Santa, there is a new service out called Package from Santa. For as low as $14.95 you can send a personalized letter to your kids from “Santa” in a metallic shiny red envelope addressed to them. The personalized Santa Letters (the Basic package) have the look and feel of authenticity. They are written on a thick parchment-like paper with a distressed and aged look. They are simply made and written to look like the real thing.
In addition to Letters from Santa, Package from Santa also offers a Standard and Deluxe package. The Standard package includes a personalized Letter from Santa, custom letter from Rudolph, official personalized Nice Certificate, and a glossy autographed 8X10 photo of Santa Claus, also shipped in a metallic shiny red envelope. The Deluxe package includes a personalized letter from Santa, custom letter from Rudolph, official personalized Nice Certificate, glossy autographed 8X10 photo of Santa Claus, genuine reindeer food, authentic collectors piece of Santa’s suit, and a personal greeting from Santa Claus recorded on a CD. Wow, now if the Deluxe package doesn’t keep a kid believing in Santa, then I don’t know what else will! Deluxe packages are shipped in a shiny red box and are of LIMITED supply.
Your kids will be in total awe over Package from Santa’s personalized packages. You may never hear the end of the personalized gifts that they’ve received from “Santa Claus”. To keep them believing, consider sending your kiddo a Package from Santa. For pictures and custom package pricing, visit packagefromsanta.com.

Empire Carpet: Still Going Strong
Last year my mother had carpet put in her living room. After calling around to get quotes from local carpet businesses, she decided to go with Empire Carpet. Before installing her carpet, they came out to give her a free, no obligation in-home estimate. They recorded the measurements of the living room and let her view samples to help her choose the color and texture of the carpet that was going to be installed. The next day they returned, laid the carpet, and did an excellent job. They did forget to do one small spot, but I think it was a minor misunderstanding. My mother called them to discuss the issue and they were back the next day to fill in the spot. Two weeks later, they followed up with my mother to make sure that she was completely satisfied. Sure enough she was. I was too.
I love coming back home because the new carpet makes her house feel cozy. The carpet that she chose is lighter than what she had. So it brightens up the living room. It’s also very plushy. I love walking in the living room barefoot. Greg and I have a hard berber so it’s refreshing to walk across my mother’s carpet. Hopefully when we move, we’ll have something softer. Jayden DOES have to crawl on it!

Smart Snacks: Bagel-fuls & Brother’s All Natural Crisps (Giveaway)
I know some of you are like OMG she’s forever talking about food. Well, Sheena likes to eat and when she finds something that tastes yummy, she’ll mention it. Food makes her happy, *cheese*.
Since becoming a mommy, I don’t have much time to prepare breakfast, so I just grab what I can. When we shop for groceries, I make sure to grab items that are easy to prepare. If I do get breakfast, typically I’ll eat oatmeal, a breakfast roll, or fruit. I just recently added Kraft Bagel-fuls to the shopping list. Bagel-fuls are bagel sticks conveniently stuffed with cream cheese. They come in plain, whole grain, strawberry, cinnamon, and chive flavors. You can toss them in the toaster, microwave, or eat them straight out the fridge!
I was sent samples of Strawberry and Whole Grain Bagel-fuls. I tried the strawberry first and instantly fell in love. I then tried the Whole Grain Bagel-fuls. At first I didn’t like them because I had gotten used to the sweet taste of the strawberry flavor. I prefer sweet tasting cream cheese. After I gobbled up both boxes of Bagel-fuls, Greg and I searched for them at the grocery store. We couldn’t find them. I was crushed, lol. We ended up getting a bag of bagels and a cup of strawberry cream cheese, since I had become addicted to the strawberry Bagel-fuls. A few nights ago, Greg was able to find Bagel-fuls and brought home the Cinnamon flavor. I love them just as much as the Strawberry. The Strawberry and Cinnamon flavors remind me of Aunt Annie’s Pretzels. If you love Aunt Annie’s, you’ll probably enjoy Bagel-fuls. I now have to refrain from eating Bagel-fuls around the clock or else I won’t have any for breakfast! By the way, I eat them cold! I’ve never been a bagel-warmer-upper. Calories In Bagel-fuls: 200 or less depending on flavor.
The next snack I’d like to introduce are Fruit and Potato crisps by Brother’s All Natural. Potato Crisps are free of every type of oil, fat, and grease found in traditional and baked potato chips. Brother’s All natural freeze dries fresh sliced potatoes to lock the healthy nutrition naturally found in potatoes. The same process is used to create fruit Crisps. I happily snacked on the Szechuan Pepper and Fresh Chives and Fresh Onion and Garlic Potato Crisps along with the Fuji Apple and White & Yellow Peach Fruit Crisps samples that I received. I just wish there were more in each bag!
I think these are great snacks to introduce to children as they are healthy and fun to eat. I’d definitely want Jayden eating these over traditional chips, not saying there’s anything wrong with traditional chips! Nothing wrong with a splurge here and there. Calories In Potato and Fruit Crisps: 45 or less depending on flavor.
Win some snacks! 2 lucky winners will receive all four flavors of Brother’s All Natural Crisps mentioned and a coupon good for one box of Bagel-fuls! Just leave a RELEVANT comment on this post. Great/Nice Giveaway. or Ooo pick me. comments are not acceptable, sorry! Winners will be chosen on June 26th at 7PM CST. I can only ship to residents in the US!

AmaZing Hair Styles With HairZing! (Giveaway)
I’ve made a goal for myself this summer to do more with my hair. It has been 2 years and 5 months since I cut my hair literally to nothing to go natural. Since then, my hair has really grown and I’ve been hiding it under crocheted hats and an unpicked afro. Lately, I’ve been dabbling with new products and accessories, the latest being HairZing.
HairZing is an innovative little hair accessory which consists of gorgeously beaded resin bands that are attached to two hair-friendly molded metal combs. I love to put little beads and shells in my hair so when I discovered HairZing, I had to try one. Since playing with HairZing, I haven’t made a successful style since my hair is extra poofy at the moment. I’m still trying, but I think I’m on to something though! Once I get my hair braided, all should be well. I can see myself collecting HairZings and keeping one in my purse, just in case.
Not having enough time for hair styling is a common problem moms and women on the go face. When I do have the time, I definitely don’t like to spend a lot of it fixing my hair unless I truly KNOW what I’m doing. I’m just not that talented in the hair styling department, hence my lack of patience. HairZing has created HairZing 101 videos to help get started with HairZing. In addition to the HairZing 101 videos, HairZing has also compiled 14 different hair styling video tutorials for inspiration.
Whether your hair is curly, bone straight, locked, or braided, there are HairZings and video tutorials suitable for your hair type.
HairZing is a company with a good cause. They make their products in Africa and Asia. In Asia, they use a factory owned by a husband and wife duo that allow women to work close to their families with wages that allow them to become big players in their workforce. In Africa, all beads are made by women in the Maasai tribe of Kenya. HairZing teaches sound business practices to ensure that women in Asia and Africa are able to build other small companies on their own.
WIN!: For a chance to win a Diamond Large Blue Wonder HairZing, leave a comment telling me how you would benefit from HairZing if you were to win! A winner will be chosen randomly on June 3rd 2008 at 7PM CST. This giveaway is open to US and Canada residents.

Fresh & Simple Pouches By Ragú
I remember sitting in the lobby of the OB/GYN office and watching one of those medical videos. A question popped up on the monitor. Which of the following meals do households eat more of for dinner? A. Casseroles. B. Sandwiches. A survey revealed that more households eat sandwiches for dinner. A lady in the lobby replied with not in my house, we eat more casseroles. I thought to myself, we eat spaghetti, which could work as a casserole if baked.
Greg and I eat spaghetti like we’ve been given a lifetime supply of pasta, Ragu, and ground turkey. We love it because the meal is inexpensive and there’s plenty to go around for the rest of the week. This works for us financially and for me physically. I don’t have to cook a meal every day! What I do is cook up a big pot. We eat it alone or with other food that I decide to make later in the week. I know that when Jayden gets older my method will be a lifesaver, especially if we have more kids.
Ragu, the makers of my favorite pasta sauce, introduced a new product called the Fresh & Simple Pouch. With the busy mom in mind, Fresh & Simple Pouches microwave in 90 seconds and can be poured on any pasta, meat, seafood or family favorite. No sugar is added to Fresh & Simple Pouches and like traditional Ragú Sauces, no artificial additives or preservatives. Prepare a quick meal or snack for the family without sacrificing nutrition!
Here’s an idea, dip Texas Toast in Fresh & Simple! Visit Feed Our Kids Well for tips, healthy recipes, and time-saving suggestions for moms! Thanks Ragu for allowing me to try another one of your delicious products!
If you would like to give a gift to baby Jayden, we are registered at Target. All gifts are greatly appreciated!
