That’s just one of the perks of being sent samples. Last Saturday afternoon I was starving. I needed to eat something quick. Jayden was fussy and Greg had just left for work. After putting Jayden down for a nap, I scurried off to the kitchen ravishing through the fridge and cabinets then…*rumble rumble rumble**knock knock knock*. The Fedex man left a box at the door. In that box were packets of Ronzoni Bistro meals. Ronzoni Bistro meals are 8 ounce savory pasta meals in a pouch that microwave in 90 seconds. It does depend on your microwave because I zapped mine for 60 seconds. Our microwave doesn’t have a low/medium/high setting, so I’m not sure of the temperature. That’s what you get when you buy the cheapest model from Walmart! Ronzoni Bistro meals are available in Spaghetti and Meatballs, Rotini with Tomatoes and Basil, Penne with Chicken & Broccoli, and Linguine with Chicken & Mushrooms flavors. So far I’ve tried Rotini with Tomatoes and Basil and the Penne with Chicken & Broccoli. I love them. They are rich in flavor and take no time to prepare. If I had a job to go to, I’d definitely pack them for lunch. Etsy.com is full of gorgeous handmade items that will have you spending your bank account dry. A few days ago I decided to look around for some small accessories for myself. Mama deserves a treat every once and a while, right? I am addicted to anything with a cowry shell on it. I love wearing jewelry made with cowry shells. I love stringing cowry shells in my hair. So what did I search for on Etsy? Cowry shells! In the first page of results I found a delicious pair of earrings that I HAD to have. They were from seller KeeyshasKreations. Since I’m not a high end fashionista, I don’t know how to really spot a fake except for like bad stitching and cut off letters at the seams. The fact that they are fake, I won’t buy them. My mother buys fakes all the time, she’s older so it doesn’t matter. I know it makes no sense to pay hundreds of dollars for a bag that you can only afford to put $20 in. Rather than look like boo boo the fool in my fake Louis, I don’t even deal with them. I can just feel the people looking at me thinking Look at her. She think she doin’ it in her Bouis Vuitton.

Do you wear fakes? How do you feel when wearing them? Would Jayden be embarrassed if his mama was out carrying a fake Coach diaper bag? LOL!

I was asked to try two popular dishwasher soaps, Cascade Complete and Electrasol Advanced. It didn’t dawn (lol) on me until I received the soaps that they were for a dishwasher which we don’t have at the moment. Go ahead and laugh. Since we don’t have a dishwasher, I asked a few friends to participate in the challenge. We will have a dishwasher again on August 1st! So for now, enjoy these reviews written by friends. (I’ll be updating this post as the reviews come in.)

1stopmom says: When it comes to cleaning products I have a very sensitive nose. I do not like products that have a strong lingering smell. Usually when we run the dishwasher there is a strong bleach smell in the air by the time the load has finished. Electrasol Advanced not only cleaned our dishes with dried on food the first time, there was no lingering smell afterward. I was surprised because after opening the package, there was a strong bleach like smell. Although the Cascade Complete was easier on the nose it did not clean as well as the Electrasol Advanced. A few of the dishes still had food residue on them. I would use the Electrasol Advanced again because we are not always able to get our dishes into the dishwasher immediately after eating. The Cascade Complete did work fine when we rinsed the dishes first but that is an extra step I do not need. It defeats the purpose of using the dishwasher.

They still have to finish our paperwork and then we’ll receive a call when it is complete. I asked over and over making sure there wouldn’t be any surprises and everything looks good. On Monday, we got good news from the community that we are moving to! They still have to finish our paperwork and then we’ll receive a call when it is complete. I asked over and over making sure there wouldn’t be any surprises and everything looks good. We move in August 1st! So it looks like we’re going to be neighbors with Flip Flop Mamma! We found the listing online and added it to our favorites, and then she convinced us to check it out. So glad that we did!

So now Greg and I are looking for a washer and dryer as well as a sofa set. I’m trying not to want anything else for our new place besides a new bedding set, custom wooden shelves and name blocks for Jayden’s room, and some rooster themed kitchen accessories! I’m trying to keep calm this time around. Everytime that we move I have to have loads of new stuff. I.can.do.this!

So in the next few weeks my time will be consumed with packing, moving, and being a mommy to a teething almost 3 month old! When things settle, I’ll be doing more around here. Until next time *two fingers*!
