Our Adventure In The Woods
Yesterday afternoon Greg and I decided to “hike” and explore around “the lake”. We had so much fun. I got so dirty. Note: never hike in flip flops. My flip flops were broken in by walking the first trail that we went on. This trail was more of a walking trail than a hiking trail. But anyway, when we decided to explore another side of the lake, I stepped in mud, then walked bare foot through some rocks, got a pebble stuck in my foot. I washed my feet and flip flops off in the lake, but they were still dirty. I tried going to the bathrooms, but they didn’t have sinks, there were no doors, and to top it off they were full of goose poop, even the toilets! It was disgusting, but quite amusing that an animal pooped all over the bathrooms and toilets.
The second trail that we went on was an actual hiking trail. There were rocks that we could walk on to view the river down below. It wouldn’t be pretty if anyone were to ever fall down there. I slipped on some rocks trying to cross a little stream. I got wet, but it was no biggie. Overall we had a lot of fun. I got bit by a chigger or something under my butt, but no mosquito bites. I’m impressed, we didn’t bring repellent. Greg on the other hand had 2 spiders ticks attached to him. One on his stomach and one on his leg. He had to get them off in the shower because it hurt to pull them off. I just know that next time we explore the other trails, I’ll be wearing my New Balances and I guess we should bring a bag of goodies. We’ll probably go back Saturday, if I don’t have to work and Sunday if I have to. We’re going to bring Caesar too so he can experience the wilderness. I’ll end this with some pictures.

PWEWF, you make those math questions hard! haha! just kidding!!
I love hiking, sounds like you guys had an a “adventure” to say the least! ewww spiders attached to him!? Where they ticks maybe…that is gross sounding!! next time new balances might be the better option, and you guys look so cute in that pic!!
Your pictures are really nice. Seems like you had alot of fun. I would never do that though, I’m too afraid of bugs. Lol ha ha, I would catch a heart attack.
I really enjoyed those pictures & everything looked so Serene.
Sucks though that Greg got attacked by Spiders… which is why I don’t do “Nature”.
However nature is peaceful, it seems like fun though. Just have to be prepared for the elements.
“Do not attempt to hike in flip flops” should be a given.
Checking out the photos now!
