Visit Mommy Daddy Blog where Greg and I chronicle our adventure through parenthood!

It’s About Time!

OK, I get sick and everything falls apart!

Sophistishe.Org has been down since yesterday. It should have been renewed on February 16th. All of my financial information was correct with my domain registrar, but “they” let the my domain expire. I checked my bank statement and it shows that on February 13th they charged my card twice for $1, so now I have to keep a close watch on things and fax them my statement if anything looks fishy. I’m just so frustrated with them because trying to contact support on the phone, via email or chat is an ongoing process and could take DAYS. Then on top of that I get a bunch of CANNED responses when chatting with them.

I’m trying to get back into the swing of things, I haven’t had much time with my computer without feeling icky. Greg and I are feeling much better, thanks for the concerns! Our Valentine’s Day was spent cuddling with each other, pitiful but sweet, lol.

Expect a giveaway this weekend. It’s time for some excitement around here! Visit Mommy Daddy Blog for a pregnancy update!

Snow Day Part 2…

Yesterday the power went out at 8:52pm and didn’t come back on until 11:58pm. Greg and I spent that time cuddling up. Although our heat is gas, it relies on electricity to crank on, so we had no heat. Greg caught my cold, so his fever was enough to keep the both of us toasty. When the power came back on, we continued cuddling and went to bed. We didn’t get much sleep because we kept each other awake. When I’m not comfortable, I make whiny noises in my sleep, lol. My nose was stuffy and Greg’s temperature had me breaking out into sweats, so I kept making these funny noises. Every time that I did, Greg nudged me so that I would shut up, lol. Today the ice came off of the car so we were able to run to the grocery store for a few things including some cough syrup for Greg. He’s now laying down and I think I will do the same. I’m so tired. I tried doing some of the dishes and I put some chicken in the oven. I may just have to finish cooking the chicken later because my body isn’t having it -( . Looks like we’ll be having a late dinner…

If it isn’t obvious…the power was out due to the weather…

Snow Day!

Greg’s classes were canceled so he decided to ATTEMPT going to work early. After spending almost 2 hours trying to get into the car, his boss called him and told him that no one was coming in today! There are still people trying to get into their cars. One guy was trying to hammer ice off of his door. It sucks not having a garage…

I’m getting over a 3 day cold. The next couple of days I should just be blowing my nose and coughing less violently now that everything has loosened up. I am so relieved. I rarely get sick, I don’t know what happened this time, but I know that I don’t miss being sick one bit.

I was going to include a picture of the snow in this post, but the windows are foggy and I AM NOT going outside, lol!

Oh yea, someone’s lurking Mommy Daddy Blog, they got there by searching for my first and last name + Mommy Daddy Blog. So that obviously means that they know about Mommy Daddy Blog, so why search for it? I’m hoping the search was business related. I don’t think anyone I know offline would search with those keywords, my name yes, but not Mommy Daddy Blog. Aw well, not too much worried about it.

Well, we’re going to use this day to get a bunch of online stuff done. Toodles!

Voting Rights Denied: California Democratic Primary

This article was written by Ladessa Sullivan.

REFUSED THE RIGHT TO VOTE IN CALIFORNIA DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY

“A friend and I who reside in California both went to vote early morning on Feb 5th and because we are registered as “Independent” we were refused a Democratic ballot, even though we requested one several times and contested their refusal. We were told we could not vote in the democratic primary because we are registered as Independent. They even proceeded to look it up in some kind of rule book that they neglected to show to us in order to prove that they were right. We issued complaints on our own accord, because we had suspicions of fraud regarding this matter. We found out later that our suspicions were correct and we were far from alone.

We feel this was done on purpose because Barack Obama was said to receive much of the independent vote. We will not stand for this kind of blatant fraud at such an important time. No one thought that something like this could occur in California, but it did.

This has gone on for too long, and it’s ridiculous that in a powerful & sufficient country that we cant get our voting systems in order. If something like this could conveniently happen in California then it could happen anywhere, and it has happened in the most important elections that have cost us dearly for years to come, such as the infamous problem in Florida. A state that just happened to be governed by George W. Bush’s brother.

California was said to be the most important state to win in this recent Democratic primary, with a substantial amount of delegates. We want to know who is behind this misinformation that led to our voice being stolen from us.

Hillary Clinton has been declared the winner of California but not fairly by any account. Independent voters like my friend and I were refused the right to vote in the Democratic primary, and many if not most of those voters were Barack Obama supporters according to the polls.

Please report on this important issue. Pass it on. We are not alone. All of the fraud and complaint lines in California have reported a high number of people complaining about this same issue.

They have told me that unfortunately the election is over so it is too late, but to prevent this from happening in the future I should continue to talk about this issue.

I told them that what we do today affects what we can do tomorrow. “Now” is of the most importance. “Now” will decide who will be the president for the next 4-8 years. As we have seen with George W. Bush, who we select today can cost us heavily for years to come, and that effect many times surpasses the presidents term; Just ask all of the people who can’t bring their friends and family back from the grave because of this war. Just ask the people who have lost their homes to foreclosure.”

PLEASE REPOST THIS BULLETIN. WE CAN’T BE COMPLACENT ABOUT THESE MATTERS. OUR CHILDREN’S CHILDREN WILL THANK YOU FOR IT.

Trying To Get It Together

Thought I’d pop in and say that things are piling up on my end. I don’t want to blog until I know for sure that I have things together with the server.

In other news I’m sitting here with a head full of minced avocados. Note to self: when making homemade conditioner, peel the skin off the avocado before blending and spend more time blending.
