Something For The Summer

I’ve been itching to get this theme up for a while. It’s recycled from a layout that I created 2 summers ago, when I was residing at another domain. This will probably be up until September. I have a theme that I made last October, but never used it, so that will probably be the next theme after this one. I may tinker around with this a bit from now - September.

Well I’m off to go with Greg to get an oil change and maybe look at some plants cuseme .

I love when things fall into place.

Getting ready to move has been financially stressful. I opened my hosting invoice to see it was only $4! I don’t know why, but I’m not complaining! I was trying to figure out how we were going to put the last payment down on the house as well as pay Caesar’s pet rent at our current place. We’re low on groceries and I can’t function without a delectable meal and snacks. I got paid today and all is well. I’ve also found a company that sells a lot of home furnishings for almost 50% off from those that I once had on my Amazon wish list. I love when things fall into place.

P.S. I updated my About page. I can’t leave it as is, I’m always deleting something or adding on.

Holiday Recap

My “Independene Day” was enjoyable. On the 3rd Greg and I went downtown to see the fireworks. We had to walk through The Taste to get to the fireworks and ugh I don’t even wish to go see the fireworks there anymore nor do I ever want to go to The Taste unless it’s on the first day, so it will be less people, well less ghetto people anyway. I won’t even go into detail, if you don’t understand. I hate uncivilized people. I don’t understand why some people act the way the they do. I didn’t know going out and having a good time meant screaming insults to random people who walked by for no reason or even jumping people.

On the 4th my mother had a picnic, she had cooked everything on the 3rd. Everyone was there by 2pm and left a little after 6pm. The older people left around 5-ish. I snapped pictures when I could, I won’t be adding them to flickr because I don’t like them. I just snapped so that my mother could have some pictures. No one really looked at the camera. I stayed in the house most of the time because I don’t like to be around old people, they talk about arthritis, strokes, medicine, Barack Obama, and Condoleezza Rice. I did get some orders surprisingly boog . It was a good turnout, food was delish, but I just had to hideout, plus it was piping hot out and the shade was taken.

Caesar got on my nerves. He barked at almost everybody. Caesar is a toy dog, so you may be thinking he has one of those teeny high pitch yelps. NO! He packs a mean KILLER bark. Me and Greg took him to watch some fireworks (at the 1st high school that I went to), he hopped in the car and peed. At the fireworks he wouldn’t sit still and peed on my legs. It was his first time seeing fireworks so it’s understandable, hopping in the car before the fireworks and peeing is not. Then this morning, I picked him up and he peed on my feet and legs! He just couldn’t get it together this time around doh Holiday Recap . Too much excitement I guess. He did not deserve the hot dog, burger, chicken and bones that he got over the holiday. I know some people probably don’t want to have anything to do with pets after reading this. If you love them enough, what’s a little pee?

I thought it would be best that we headed back home this morning rather than last night. It was the night of the 4th, people lose their minds, the police get greedy, and I don’t like traveling in the dark. So we left Chicago at 5am to be safe.

Pictures - only a few of the fireworks. Everyone knows how they look, plus all I had seemed to be getting was colored smoke anyway. I haven’t played with my camera settings enough to know how to get good night pictures. Getting a tripod would be a huge help.

Trip, Shopping, Baby Birdy

We made it to Chicago, this ride was alright. Traffic was slow for about 20 minutes due to the infamous construction. I almost had a heart attack when we got caught behind a car with a bad exhaust. The car was in front of a van in front of us so I didn’t know what to think. I thought someone’s car was on fire and I wanted to get away from that!

Yesterday I went grocery shopping with my mother and I decided to snap a pic of the basket with my phone for Mrs. Domestic Diva -) . We actually had TWO baskets, the other was full of bottled water and a mop. We had to go to another grocery store for the ribs, but I didn’t snap a picture of that basket, by that time I was tired and wanted to get out since a lot of people were out doing their holiday shopping too.

What The World Eats

She ain’t gonna want to be in there by herself. We’re gonna get you another bird when we go shopping. Those were the words my mother said after hearing Gigi chirping away. So I present “baby birdy”. It has no name since it’s still really young. I’m waiting for it’s nose to develop it’s color so that I can tell if it’s a boy or girl. So far it hasn’t chirped, likes to cling to the travel cage, and has boo boo stuck on it’s birdy booty. It’s a wild one when it comes to trying to touch it and it bites -/ . My Spunky never did any of that -( . I think Gigi likes him/her. They spend a lot of time just looking at each other. I’ve had Gigi for 4 years (I keep saying 3) and I think my Gigi is a guy, what am I gonna do now? When I got Gigi, Gigi’s nose was pink, but after doing some research all parakeets can have a pink nose when young. I wanted so badly for Gigi to be a girl. The constant whining/clucking and biting led me to think Gigi was a girl too. A guy named Gigi…oh boy. Well anyway I may have to give Gigi a more masculine name. Here’s Gigi & “Baby Birdy”.

Baby Birdy & Gigi

Pictures from yesterday and this morning - The pictures of Simba are from this morning. Gigi likes to clings to the cage on road trips. Caesar got a fresh cut for the 4th.

I must go help my mother clean out the pool. When I’m here I cannot get ANYTHING computer related done unless it’s night time and my bed time is now 9pm. No matter if I get things out the way and done I’m always interrupted, one reason for me not wanting to come back home when I left the university. I don’t mind helping, but I’m expected to always drop what I’m doing on the computer as if I’m just on for leisure. Yes, general blogging is for leisure, but I have loads of other business to tend to online. My mother understands that over the phone but not when I’m in her presence.
