Must. Dye. Hair. Fight. Temptation.

I’m in one of those moods this morning. That mood being life is boring, I need to go do something, make a change, make a purchase. I want to dye my hair BUT I don’t want to use chemicals. It defeats the purpose of being natural. For those that don’t know, I cut off all of my hair December of 2005 due to me frying my hair with dye. I used Dark n Lovely, that crap is so strong. It’s very bad on the hair, plus I was going shades lighter, so that didn’t really help. I’ve always wanted to be able to wear a fro, having a relaxer didn’t allow me to do so. So, I stopped the dying and relaxing. I’ve been lye and dye free for 17 months. The stores don’t sell any natural hair dyes, so I’d have to order henna. I want to dye my hair NOW. I use a lot of Garnier Fructis products and I love them. I really want to try their dye. My hair is thick and healthy since I’ve started over and I know that the dye won’t hurt it, especially if I’m just going for a browner look. I just don’t want to be a natural hypocrite or funk up my hair growth. Long hair, don’t care. -Lil Wayne

My hair before I started dying it. Sophomore year in high school.

The end result of me mass dying Senior year - Freshman year in college. It was really damaged, so I had to cut what didn’t fall out. It wasn’t too long after this picture that I decided to cut it all off. Shortly after, I ditched the fake contacts too.

My progress. Before & After. Looks like I had a Michael Jackson nose in ‘06, ew.

Me poofed up last month.

Wrong Number, But I Can Help

For the past couple of days, I’ve been getting calls from a bank regarding a guy named Joe’s account. I wondered if they were looking for my old landlord. See we had the same digits in our phone numbers, but the last four digits were flip flopped. So I just called them and asked if they were calling regarding Joe _____, and they were. So I gave them his current cell number and now they’ll stop calling me!

Yawn, New Post

I’m so pooped. I wanted to talk about some thoughts, beauty products, and random stuff. But I can’t bring myself close to being able to think clearly. I just got off of work, I’m exhausted and hungry. This morning Greg and I pampered each other and took a bath together. I can’t wait until the time comes when we’re able to build our dream bathroom. I want it to have a doubled sized spa tub, large enough for 4, a shower large enough for at least 3, and heated floors. It sucks taking a bath or shower together in such a small standard space. We are both little people and still there’s not enough room. Within the next 10 years we’ll have our dream bathroom or something of the like.

I treated myself to an Ipod Nano. I ordered it this morning. I have a Creative Zen Nano Plus, but Greg hooked it up to the car, so I don’t have an MP3 player. I miss my music. I’ve always wanted an Ipod Nano but settled for a Creative Nano since it was cheaper. Last summer when I went to Puerto Rico, I wanted something for the plane ride. I was pressed for time and was on a budget. So yea, I’m pretty excited about getting the Ipod. I really want a new laptop but that may be pushing it. I just need to reformat. My keys are a bit worn out though. I’m sure I can get them replaced. I’m trying to balance needs with wants. I haven’t really splurged in a while. So. I’m off to eat a pizza, watch Soul Food, and snuggle. It’s been raining all day, and I’ve only had about 3 hours of sleep. I’m going to sleep really good tonight.

The Gift Of Tea For Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is right around the corner. May 13th, to be exact. Why not give her the gift of tea? Not just any tea but blooming tea. Full Bloom Tea offers hand tied Artisan teas that actually bloom before your eyes when added to water. I didn’t understand until I watched the blooming in action. It kinda creeped me out at first but when finished, I thought the blooming was kinda cool. It reminds me of a business card Santa gave me one year that turned into a sponge when wet. Full Bloom Tea is having a Mother’s Day special on blooming tea sets. There’s a tea set for $29.99 which includes a large transparent glass teapot and six assorted tea blooms. Six blooms make eighteen 27 ounce pots of tea. I’ll actually consider ordering a tea set for my mother as she’s a heavy tea drinker, I am too. She already has enough lotion and perfume-y items so a blooming tea set would be perfect. I have 11 days to make my decision. On Mother’s Day Mom will be shocked, amazed, and very appreciative. After all she’ll have tea and flowers all in one, a great conversation piece.

Unique tea gifts that bloom into drinkable floral bouquets.

Theme Complete

I’m done working on the site for now. Here’s my new theme. It reminds me so much of the early Family Feud. My fortune for today is “Don’t behave with cold manners”, hmm I’ll try to remember that.
