Green Thumb Sunday: 4

Sunday’s almost over! Here’s a picture of my sweet peppers from buzzy seeds. I did want to take the picture in natural sunlight, but I missed out. I repotted them. When we move, they’ll be repotted again to something larger than what I have them in.

Must Have FoOod

After looking at a few recipes, I’ve made myself so hungry. I really want to get into baking, but it’s only two of us here to eat whatever I bake. I don’t want to waste food due to he fact that I want to experiment and take pictures. I know I’m going to bake something either for my aunt’s BBQ in May or my mother’s in July, or both! Mmm I can’t wait! In the mean time I’ll probably bake some biscuits for Caesar, as if he doesn’t have enough already. He loves P-Nuttiers by Old Mother Hubbard, so I shall try and master her recipe.

Green Thumb Sunday: 3

These are my sweet peppers. I’m not sure what color they’ll be, either green, red, or both as the kit didn’t specify. They are almost ready to be transferred into a much larger container. Since it has gotten chilly outside, I keep them at the patio door. The kit says they can be grown indoors anyway. Buzzy Seeds.

Budgeting. Bills. Rain.

So many thoughts, I don’t know where to start. I swear if I didn’t take pictures daily, I probably would be lost for words. Even if I don’t discuss the pictures, they somehow remind of something to talk about. It’s been gloomy here all day. It’s currently raining. I had a 5-10pm call in today at work, luckily I didn’t have to come in. I just don’t have the energy and I would like to work on some things online. I’ve also gotten my sleeping back on track and I don’t want to mess it up. I’m in bed by 10pm and up by 6-9am. I do have to work tomorrow but in the afternoon.

Lately I’ve been trying to optimize our budget. I tried downgrading our cable, but can’t until May. We’re on a special, so we get family cable + some digi crap (a $5 value) and the internet for $61. In May the bill will be $87. Somethings gotta go. If we get rid of the digi whatever that lowers the bill by $5. The next step down from the family cable is channels 1-16 for $12.90. Most likely we can get those channels with an antenna . Our next choice is to lower the internet speed and definitely don’t want to do that! I’m going to see how much their cable/internet/phone service costs together since we’re going to need a phone service for the new place. They discount the services if you get them all together. So, we shall see. Their phone service is just like vonage so it may be convenient to just have everything on one bill. We just can’t win because there’s only one cable provider to choose from. The phone company sucks because we’d be paying $50+ for LOCAL calls and internet together. Long distance is extra. Boooo to that. So we may as well just get everything from the cable provider.

The rain is getting to me. I’m about ready to curl up in the bed now, so that’s what I shall do. Hope it doesn’t throw off my sleeping .

Stop Haunting Me!

So Greg and I thought about tricking our friends on April Fools day with the infamous “I’m pregnant” joke. We were going to do this on facebook since facebook has these feeds that just tell everyone’s business when you first log in. It wouldn’t have been much of a “wow” since loads of people that we know are expecting or has had kids already in the past couple of years . The joke would have gone better with our parents. I couldn’t dare play that joke on my mother though. So anyway I thought it would be pretty funny to make an album on facebook full of baby items that we wanted, sort of like a wishlist. Note: we didn’t go through with the joke.

While looking for baby stuff, I came across the cutest bedding set. It’s driving me crazy. It’s just that cute. I want it so bad (packrat tendencies). I don’t even have a child yet, nor am I any close to being fertile. So, yea, I’ve been seriously admiring this set. A couple of days ago something really cruel happened to me. I was flipping through Baby Talk magazine (don’t ask why I was flipping through a baby mag) and right there on page 33 was a $15 off coupon for the same set!!! The coupon expires May 31st. I am so mad because although I have no reason to buy the bedding, it just keeps haunting me!
