We Found The “One”
Alrighty so we’ve finished our House Hunting and we’ve made a decision. I knew it was something good about the house that we chose as the address is our anniversary day, I had to blab again. It has everything that we need, nothing is leaky or terribly outdated. The backyard isn’t enclosed but it’s not really a big problem. We’ll be losing a bedroom, bathroom, and dishwasher but that’s not a big deal. Our new future bedroom is soooooo much larger than the 4 bedrooms we have now. We really don’t use our second bathroom now, well Greg does
, and if I can’t bare to do dishes by hand I’ll look for a portable dishwasher. With the loss of 1 appliance, we gained 2, a washer and dryer. They are in the kitchen. I know some people freak out when seeing the washer and dryer in the kitchen (on House Hunters) but it doesn’t make a difference. I’m just grateful we can wash clothes in the comfort of our home and save our quarters. We also get to save on pet “fees”. They originally require a deposit of $200 per dog and $100 per cat, but they’re letting us pay $200 for both Caesar and Simba. And we get that $200 BACK whenever we move out. Now the brothers can live together once again! Management probably wouldn’t mine if we got another cat, Greg wants one of his own. We shall see. They may let us paint, pending color approval. Guess I should pause my House Painting Ideas. The neighborhood is really quiet, a lot of new homes have been built throughout the area and across the street from us. That means no loud college students! Oh and the house is gonna get a fresh coat of paint on the outside. I think it looks fine now, but whatever. I’m so excited, I ready to pack up now! It’s gonna feel good not having to drive to the mailbox and the office to retrieve packages. I really don’t think it’s the office’s business how many packages we get. It’s just a thing I have. I like to buy just about anything off of Ebay and it’s not their business if I’m a shopaholic or seem to be one. It doesn’t mean we’re rolling in dough either. I shop on Ebay to SAVE.
Anyway, what we need to do now is possibly get a 10 day extension on our current lease. It’s up July 31st and the house won’t be ready until August 10th. We also need to come up with our deposit for the house, we can pay half and half. We should probably have it in the next two weeks, the sooner the better.
I guess I should talk a bit about the house on the country road. It was old and outdated. Things were falling apart inside. The basement was wet. The owner refuses to put much money in it. I did like the enclosed yard, that’s it, booo. Until next time!

House Hunting
We saw one house today. We also made an appointment to see two more. The house that we saw today, I thought it was cute when we drove by it days ago. It had a carport and a large backyard, but no fence. Now, to the inside. It smelled like HOT a** basement! I cannot put it any other way than that. The whole house smelled like that. The reason for that is because of the basement, it had a few moist spots here a there. The entrance to it was so weird. At first I thought it was a pantry. The door was like 5.6ft x 2.5ft, so we had to kinda be careful walking down there as it was so narrow. The basement was a nice size, it was def a basement, unfinished and moist. The kitchen was cute but seriously outdated, like 1950’s outdated. The kitchen will be renovated before August, new cabinets, floors and sink, etc. The thing that I did like, was that it had a window over the sink that looks out into the backyard. The bathroom was decent, that will be renovated as well. The sink and tub were OLIVE GREEN. The bedrooms were a decent size, not enough closet space though, and there was wood paneling on the walls. The living room was about the best part of the house. I asked about putting up a fence, they said that we’re more than welcomed to BUT we’d have to take it down when we move. What are we gonna do with a custom fence later on? Nothing. The house wasn’t terrible, it definitely has some potential if we were “buying” and planning on flipping it, but we are renting, so it’s not much that we can do but expect them to make the changes and do them right. With that being said, we crossed that one off the list.
Friday, we’re gonna view the insides of two more houses. One’s on a country road around a lot of trees, I dunno if I’ll feel all that safe there, but I still want to take a look. The other is in a neighborhood with a few newer houses on the street. The neighborhood looks nice, clean and quiet. So, I’m really counting on this one. It’s also larger than all of our choices, has 3 bedrooms, a washer & dryer that stays. The outside looks good, like it was kept up well. The address is also our anniversary, could that be a sign? Should I have publicized that? I couldn’t help but blab. Eh. Wish us luck! Seriously, please do

Hailing Elephants
It’s storming like crazy. Hailing elephants. My tulips are destroyed
. There are tornado warnings in effect. Guess I’ll hop in the bed and enjoy. I love rain, but today I didn’t want to be in sleepy mode. Guess I’ll put off site stuff for a day.

Caesie’s Bed Head
I’d like to share a few photos of Caesar. When he gets in our bed, he gets serious bed head. Yesterday morning, Greg and I just happened to look up at him at the same time and started rolling. It was so funny because he didn’t know what we were laughing at. I laughed so hard, I almost cried. Caesar’s always the center of our laughter. He’s always doing something funny even if he doesn’t know it.
