Homemade Liquid Carpet Cleaner

Homemade Carpet CleanerThere were times I had to steam clean the carpet when carpet cleaner wasn’t handy. Carpet cleaner isn’t a cheap product to use when you have to use it so frequently. There were times I used a combo of hot water and Pine Sol. There were times when I used laundry detergent, baking soda, and water. I almost had it right. Soap attracts dirt, so it is a “no no” to use on carpet. It’s also hard to rinse out.

I recommend using a mixture of 30% white vinegar and 70% hot water or baking soda and hot water (playing with the baking soda to water ratio). It’s the simple things that get the job done. Isn’t this right on time since the “Go Green” revolution is in effect?

A Sigh Of Relief

I feel a tad overwhelmed at the moment, but at the same time accomplished. I had been wanting to clean up around the house because it needed to be done, bad. When the house is out of order I feel like a bum. We have two bedrooms that we need to tackle/organize. Both rooms are kinda storage for anything that we don’t want to have in sight. Those rooms aren’t really a problem since we don’t have to “look” at them, lol. The problem rooms were the living room, kitchen, and our bedroom. Caesar and Simba turned the living room into their own play place, the Christmas tree was still up and Simba was having a ball messing up the skirt and trying to get to the ornaments. The tree and other Christmas decor has been stored and the living room got a good vacuuming and steam cleaning. Carpet cleaner is expensive! So after being turned off at $11/bottle, I decided to make my own and I will be writing a tutorial soon. It works! Now to the kitchen. The dishes were piling up, the counter space needed organizing, and the floor needed to be mopped. Done. I just have to scrub the oven with an S.O.S pad, no chemicals involved! Our bedroom was a mess and it was my fault. I had a mess of clothes and pjs on the floor because our closet space is limited. I organized what I could, threw stuff in bins, packed up any clothes that I will never be wearing again and hung up clothes that I can wear now that they fit. I tend to buy things too large and keep them for later. Well now is later. Glad I had a stash.

I forgot to mention that Caesar got a bath, I always try to bathe him when I do a deep cleaning around the house. I tried to trim his hair too since it will be a while since he’ll be groomed. He has to get used to people all over again since he hasn’t been out much since it’s gotten cold. We tried to get him groomed twice over Christmas vacation by my mother’s and he bit at the groomers. We’ll see if he bites at the groomers down here. They are always good with him so I don’t think he will.

Greg’s been writing away on Mommy Daddy Blog. I feel like such a deadbeat since I just come in with my pregnancy updates. I’m working on it! I have tons of reviews to write there. I’m just working on a million other things. Now that the house is clean and FRESH (Airwicks everywhere), I feel much better. I will be updating the theme on Mommy Daddy Blog hopefully tonight, because I’m tired of looking at it. I overdid it with the turquoise *gag*. If you haven’t already, check out my 24th Week Update as well as my review for the SwellyBelly!

Love my Carpet Pardon My Pet

Love my Carpet Pardon My PetI love to sprinkle carpet deodorizer on my carpet. It’s kind of an obsession. It has nothing to do with having pets, it’s just that I have a love for freshness. I think I’ve fallen in love with Pardon My Pet by Love My Carpet. Now I know that there’s Glade, which I actually used to use. I decided to try Love My Carpet because it was cheaper than Glade by 30 cents or so. When I sprinkled this stuff on My carpet, it was heaven to my nose. It smells so good! Whether you have a pet or not (perhaps you have a husband -) ) I think Pardon My Pet by Love my Carpet is good to have around the house!

Help Me With a Title…

Wow I didn’t know that last post was going to get so many comments, lol! When Greg first read the title he was like Your ti.ts are making milk, lemme see!. I had to tell him to READ the post! After he read it, he thought no one would have tasted their own breast milk. Little does he know, eh? I’ll be monitoring my search engine stats to see if I got any dir.ty traffic shame .

UPS brought me 2 packages today from Old Navy & 2 Chix. Just as I thought, the Old Navy maternity jeans were too big. They aren’t as big as the ones that I tried on, they are just loose like overalls. The band fits my belly good though, so I’ll save them for month 8 I suppose unless I hit a spurt before then. Good thing I only paid $8.99! The ones that my mother bought over Christmas break in the store were something like $30, you better believe we took them back after getting more for our money at another department store. Originally we had gotten 2 pair of jeans, a shirt, and then some overalls for Jayden. We took the jeans and shirt back and were able to load up on maternity shirts and yoga pants at Value City. I had to keep the teeny little overalls for Jayden, ahh they are so cute!

Tomorrow I’ll be 24 Weeks pregnant and I WILL be announcing it as well as reviewing the SwellyBelly. Greg and I will be reviewing 2 Chix no later than this weekend. He got a fresh haircut and lining so we can’t wait too long! If my hair grew as fast as the hair on his face, I would have hair down to my butt.

Check out From Dates To Diapers for a chance to win a Kiel’s Creme de Corps gift pack from Vicks!

*GASP* My Hoo.ters Shot Milk!

I don’t like to blog too frequently, especially with Monday ahead (a very slow day here), BUT I have to post this while fresh. I comment on older posts all the time, there’s nothing wrong with it. As long as comments are still open then it welcomes your comment.

I had the weirdest dream today. I was looking in the mirror observing the girls when my are.olas got smaller, contracted, and shot streams of milk into the mirror, splashing it back in my face! The milk tasted like sweet cow’s milk.

Those of you who were bold enough to taste your own brea.st milk, what does it taste like? I’m curious to know.

I’m probably going to get some dir.ty traffic for this post lol .

Periods are in between words because I think those words may have sent a flag over to adsense. This is not about po.rn, I swear!
